Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your TryMyDays account yourself, from inside the app. This page explains where the control is and what deletion does. It does not perform any deletion itself and never will: deletion has to be authenticated, not requested from a public web page.
How to delete your account
- Open the TryMyDays app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete account.
- Confirm it’s you by signing in again (password, Google or Apple, whichever you use).
- Review what will be removed and confirm. This can’t be undone.
You can also remove individual Content (a Day, a Result) from inside the app without deleting your account.
What deletion does
The Privacy Policy (sections 6 and 8), the Terms of Service (section 7) and the Creator and Content Licence (section 5) are the governing text. In short:
- Your account is deleted and you can no longer sign in to it. A deleted username may be reserved for 30 days.
- Account deletion applies Strong Removal to your creator Content by default: your audiovisual contribution and TryMyDays-supplied attribution and profile/avatar links are removed from dependent outputs under our control. Lawful participant-only Results made by other people may remain.
- Deletion is a process across account systems, media outputs, providers, caches and backups. Backup copies may remain until normal rotation. We cannot erase copies another person independently controls.
- Some records are retained for a limited period where the Privacy Policy or law requires it (for example security records, moderation records, and privacy-request or Strong Removal records), with restricted access.
Can’t access the app?
If you can’t sign in, email [email protected] (or [email protected] as an alternative) from the email address on your account and tell us you want your account deleted. We verify identity proportionately using the account and request evidence available. Please don’t send government identification, selfies, passwords or sign-in codes — the current Beta has no ID or selfie verification and we won’t ask for them.
Other privacy requests
Access, correction and other requests under applicable privacy law are described on the Privacy requests page. If you appear in someone else’s post and want it reviewed, see Privacy and unauthorized recording reports.
